Not one of my favorite holidays.  Food’s good though.

Anyway, to honor the holiday, a complete non sequitor.  Parents:  How in the wild world of sports do you manage to pray at whatever liturgy it is you attend while dealing with a one year old handful?  Ambrose is usually pretty good, but there’s a lot of wrangling, standing in the back with him, and what have you.  Doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for thoughtful contemplation or active participation.  He’s a bit young to expect him to sit still, but too old to just nurse or sleep through the thing.  What’s a young parent to do?  I feel like I haven’t really prayed at liturgy in ages and I really miss that.  I think my wife feels it doubly so.

Thoughts?
